FIVE PILLARS

Sisterhood

Sisterhood is the foundation upon which we have built our chapter. Every minute spent together is just another chance for us to grow closer. Separate from our everyday lives, our chapter hosts monthly sisterhood events and a variety of annual sisterhood retreats and conferences for other chapters in our region. With 65+ active chapters and over 9,000 sisters across the globe, we know that the opportunities for networking and friendships are endless.

service

As a sorority, alpha Kappa Delta Phi strives to serve our community to the best of our abilities. Aside from our philanthropy work for Breast Cancer Awareness, we have also participated in a number of other community service activities such as working with St. Peter's Hospital, Tzu Chi International Relief, the Insitute for Children with Cancer and Blood Disorders, and many more. Each year we aim to increase the number of community service events that we are involved in, as it is our chapter's belief that we actively take small but necessary steps every day towards improving our community and the world we live in.

leadership

The sisters of Rutgers University alpha Kappa Delta Phi wholly encourage and promote leadership in our school and community. Providing leadership opportunities and experiences not only enhances the sorority but also teaches our sisters many important life-long skills. Many of our sisters hold executive board positions in a plethora of other organizations on campus. We work to actively develop and enhance attitudes of confidence, guidance, and direction that have and will aid us in our personal and professional endeavors through leadership and teamwork.

scholarship

Since its initiation at Rutgers University, the sisters of alpha Kappa Delta Phi have strived to maintain high academic excellence. Our Academic Chair monitors the GPAs of all active sisters and holds study hours for sisters to attend in groups to ensure academic merit. We strive to maintain only the highest quality and integrity in our work, and we continually stress the importance of our academic studies.

asian- awareness

Asian-American awareness is one of our top missions as a sorority. The sisters of alpha Kappa Delta Phi - Psi chapter are actively involved in and hold executive positions in various cultural clubs across the Rutgers campus. Our Cultural Chair collaborates with other Asian-American organizations to host and attend cultural events every year. It is an honor and a privilege to see Asian-American students unite in such large numbers year after year.
